The majority of life can feel crappy, incomplete, and disconnected. You’re doing things you know are sabotaging your mental wellness, and yet cannot figure out how to have the energy and focus to troubleshoot new ways of coping. Who are you? What do you want out of life? What’s your purpose? I’ll bet you’ve also had therapists who loaded your sessions with their own personal issues, too much academic jargon or simply didn’t make you feel heard. In my experiences with clients, therapy has the best outcomes when you are the climber of the treacherous mountain of life, and I am simply a humble mountain guide. I don’t think you would care about what I know before you know that I care about you and your problems. I serve as a mirror to your values, feelings, and ideas. I will help navigate the processing of traumas and grief in your life. I want you to sincerely feel more connected with yourself and with the people around you. I will be the sounding board for your ideas and remain open to your feedback about what works for you. I have clinical experience with a wide variety of age ranges and reasons for treatment. I might be what they call a “jack of all trades, master of none”–because I know YOU are the expert on you, and your engagement is the most vital part of figuring out what your new normal is. Have you ever wished you could show your therapist a meme or TikTok that describes how you feel? Look no further! I will interpret the tapestry of your life and we will collaborate on solutions and behaviors that will help you make more meaning for yourself.

With a compassionate and empathetic approach, I am committed to creating a safe and supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to navigate their personal journeys toward healing. Whether working with individuals, couples, or families, I strive to facilitate meaningful change and foster resilience, helping clients build stronger connections and find peace amidst life’s challenges.
After earning a bachelors degree in psychology, with a minor in Spanish. I was driven by a passion for supporting those dealing with grief, trauma, and bereavement. This passion led me to a master’s degree in Family and Couples Counseling, building the skills and education to assist individuals and families process and heal from profound losses and traumas.
I strengthened my counseling approaches through a year of intensive research focused on early childhood trauma & brain development, to help deepen my understanding of the impact of early experiences on emotional and psychological well-being. I'm confident that together we can make lasting change for the better, and thrilled to have the opportunity to do so!

You’ve probably been through some sh**. You’re likely exhausted. Maybe overwhelmed. Maybe you’re tired of your own patterns but unsure how to stop repeating them. Maybe life handed you pain you didn’t ask for, or maybe you created the mess and now you’re trying to clean it up. Either way—if you’re reading this, you’re probably craving something different. Something real. Something honest and human. I’m Rose with Life Changes Counseling. I am a Certified Social Worker (CSW) and Licensed Substance Use Disorder Counselor (LSUDC) with ten years of experience in the mental health and addiction field—and a few decades of lived experience, learning that being human is messy, brutal, beautiful, and sometimes absurd. I approach therapy the way I approach life: with humility, curiosity, a willingness to unlearn, and deep respect for what it means to survive and grow. I work with individuals, families, and couples navigating depression, grief and loss, anxiety, addiction, trauma, ADHD, life transitions, relationship ruptures, communication breakdowns, trust issues, and the ache of feeling disconnected. But more than that, I work with people simply trying to get unstuck. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all treatment, and I definitely don’t believe you need to be “fixed.” My style is person-first, compassion-forward, and rooted in collaboration. Together, we’ll examine the old stories you’re carrying—about who you are, what you deserve, the world around you, and what’s possible—so we can begin to separate fact from fiction. I approach relationship work with couples or families with that same lens. Struggles in these dynamics often stem from unspoken stories we carry about ourselves, each other, and what connection should look like. These stories are usually much older than the current relationship, shaped by past experiences, roles, and expectations. In our work together, we’ll slow things down, untangle what’s true from what’s inherited, and explore how these narratives may distort connection. The goal isn’t to assign blame or decide who’s “right” or “wrong.” It’s to co-create relationships built on curiosity, clarity, honesty, and love, where everyone involved feels seen for who they are and who they’re becoming. Therapy with me is about right-sizing the big stuf . Many of us live behind a foggy lens—one clouded by shame, fear, trauma, or beliefs we didn’t even choose. That lens can quietly dictate our lives, keeping us small and disconnected. My job is to help you clear off the lens and see what’s in front of you—not what was, or what you fear might be, but what is. Therapy won’t always feel cozy. If it’s working, it will disrupt the comfort zones and patterns that once kept you safe but now hold you back. If you allow me, I will challenge you with kindness, clarity, and respect. And if you’re not ready yet, that’s okay too. I’ll still be beside you. Because therapy is about learning and unlearning, about creating safety within ourselves that we can carry into the world. Insight without action is just another story—and when you're ready, we’ll write something new. Whether you’re on the edge of a breakdown or a breakthrough (sometimes the same thing), you don’t have to have it all figured out to begin. Just come as you are. I’ll meet you there
